Volunteer with Make-A-Wish® and join a caring community of more than 24,000 volunteers who transform lives

You can make wishes come true. Starting today!

Your time and talents are critical to bringing strength and hope to wish kids.

Make-A-Wish volunteers consider their work impactful and meaningful. By helping us get closer to granting the wish of every eligible child, our volunteers are at the heart of every wish experience. Volunteers even have the freedom to choose when and how they would like to transform lives in their communities.

Volunteer Opportunities

Wish Granter

Wish granters meet with wish kids and their families and help children determine a wish. They also work alongside Make-A-Wish staff and wish families during the wish process.

Translator/Interpreter

A translator/interpreter accompanies trained wish granters on wish family visits to facilitate clear communication. They may also help with translating documents and other material.

Office Volunteer

Office volunteers assist chapter staff with miscellaneous tasks including phone calls, wish research, data entry, filing and mailings.

Speaker’s Bureau Volunteer

Speaker's bureau volunteers present key information and share stories about Make-A-Wish to increase support and educate audiences on our mission.

Events Volunteer

Special event volunteers plan, organize and implement successful fundraising events by working on event committees, helping on the event day and/or participating in the event.

Skill-Based Volunteer

Use your skills on an as-needed basis. This volunteer should have professional knowledge of the skill. Needed skills include reading or writing in multiple languages, graphic design, photography, carpentry, interior design, landscaping and more.
