Finally… Our Common Area is under construction.
The day has arrived and we have begun a long awaited project, our Common Area. For those of you who are not aware, the Common Area is where our Mom’s, kids, and homeless Veterans will be able to eat, take showers, do laundry, and relax in a safe environment.
The pictures posted are over several months (November to February). We started In November when Mr. Paul (One of the directors of our foundation) came up from Florida. He spent a couple of weeks with use while we gutted the old bathroom, framed out the common area and installed the plumbing. You may see Doyle in here. He has been a huge blessing since we arrived and been a very faithful friend to us. He manages to help in every project since our arrival.
With the help of the Lord I was able to finish the plumbing and all the electrical. What I did not know I learned. Thank the Lord for YouTube.
Now that the plumbing and electrical is done, we can focus on the bathrooms and eventually drywall. We will post more as the project progresses. As always we covet you prayers and should you be in our area and would like to donate some of your time, we are always glad to put out volunteers to work. Just ask these guys as you enjoy the pictures. Also don’t forget to stop by our donations page. While the labor may be free, the lumber, plumbing and electrical supplies are not. Give as God directs.
